ChatCut Desktop can render video locally on your computer. Local video export adds the 4K preset and does not count against the Free web/cloud export-duration quota.

## Export locally

1. Open the project in **ChatCut Desktop**.
2. Select **Export → Video**.
3. Choose H.264/MP4 or VP8/WebM, a frame rate, and 480p, 720p, 1080p, or **4K**.
4. Choose the destination folder when prompted.
5. Start the export and keep Desktop open while the local render runs.
6. When complete, use **Show in Finder** or **Open** from the export row.

4K means a target short side of 2160 pixels. It is available because the video is rendered locally, not because of a particular plan. Performance and available codecs depend on the computer and its hardware support.

Audio, graphics, and some bundle operations can still use cloud rendering even when started in Desktop; those jobs can remain subject to cloud limits and plan gates. See [Web vs Desktop Export](https://pr-444-preview.chatcut.dev/docs/web-export-limits).
